Ce livre n'est pas une thèse ambitieuse, naïve et vaine pour une refonte des marchés financiers dans le monde. Ce sont des carnets de voyage, dont chacun pourra tirer l'enseignement qu'il souhaite, là où il est : épargnant, salarié, dirigeant d'entreprise, journaliste, administrateur de sociétés, responsable politique. Ces marchés financiers sont des endroits humains où l'erreur et le génie, la malhonnêteté et le courage, l'appât du gain et le désir de construire, le vice et la vertu se côtoient sans cesse, se croisent, s'entrelacent et parfois fusionnent. Ce lieu et ces gens sont finalement si humains qu'il faudrait être fou pour leur confier nos économies, nos entreprises, nos projets.
